Hello! My name is Natashia Botelho. I am deeply interested in each person's capacity for both pain and healing. It is my heartfelt mission to help individuals connect authentically to themselves and others. I strive to create a space where safety can be experienced both internally and externally, and where life's challenges can become manageable and no longer inhibit satisfaction and fulfillment. My educational background includes Clinical Psychology (Hons BA), Philosophy (MA), Social Work (MSW) and Yoga Teacher Training (RYT-500). I am engaged in ongoing research, learning, and teaching in the areas of embodiment philosophy, human resilience, yoga as healing, and critical reflection.

As a psychotherapist, I take an embodied, person-centered, and relational approach to psychotherapy. I am trained in internal family systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and compassionate communication with experience using somatic (body) work, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness in sessions. My primary areas of focus are anxiety, communication, attachment (relationships), life satisfaction, emotional-regulation, loneliness, ADHD, and working with guilt, shame and low self-esteem. My hope is to support you in exploring how to make your experience of life more enjoyable and meaningful. Being connected to your authentic self and others, enacting change and choosing what to do in life can be challenging and I am here to help.

As a yoga instructor, I am trained in Trauma-informed, Gunctional strength-building Hatha, Yin, and Restorative yoga in addition to Yoga Nidra meditation. I take a compassionate approach to designing and guiding practices that focus on the mind-body-breath and community connection. Classes are playful, inclusive, and appropriate for all levels. Priority is given to how things feel rather than how they look. I use functional cues to support deeper awareness and benefits with modifications offered to increase or decrease intensity through each class. During one-on-one sessions there is an extensive amount of trust building and collaboration to promote a safe, welcoming, and respectful space in which the body can release and healing can happen.

I am looking forward to supporting you during this process. Please reach out with any inquiries.
